Membership

Membership is open to all and Fishing Permits are sold on a first come basis with the only pre-requirement being that all members agree to club rules. Membership of the club is unrestricted and although there is a provision in the constitution to restrict permit numbers it has never been enforced. It was introduced in order to manage overcrowding at the reservoir but this does not occur even with permit sales over 130. We encourage the next generation of anglers by having reduced price permits for under 16`s and also anglers between the ages of 16 and 18 years and in full time education. From 2017, an under 16 can fish for free if accompanied with an adult season ticket member, were the one limit catch applies. But must have an EA trout license.

Access to the reservoir for people with mobility issues is not easy but the level of difficulty depends on the person`s actual level of mobility. There is an area which is fully accessible to those in wheelchairs but the majority is totally inaccessible to those with this level of mobility.
